Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Do we routinely use the gifts God has given us to honor and glorify Him?  We all have certain skills and abilities, and we're all good at some things.  Most of us have developed certain basic skills into advanced skills, and many of us earn a living based on those skills.  Did that just come naturally, or was it a gift from God?  Every Christian should know the clear answer to that question.

God wants us to use what He's given us, but not just for ourselves.  What pleases Him even more is when we use it for the benefit of others.  His Word clearly directs us to love one another, so taking care of each other is a given. How then do we honor and glorify God with what He's given us?  We make sure those receiving the benefit know WHY we are sharing or helping out.

The WHY is easy – in thankfulness for all He's done, and continues to do for us – How He's blessed us in this life, and especially how He has paved the way for us to be with Him in paradise for eternity.  We love because He first loved us. (1Jn 4.19)

We honor and glorify our Heavenly Father through our obedience to His commands, like praying for one another.  Thank you for your steadfast spirit of prayer for the inmates, chaplains, volunteers, and staff at Chester County Prison every week. Your love is evident to the One who matters, and is always watching.  Keep storing up those treasures in Heaven!  Have a blessed week.

Grace and Peace,

Rick
